This policy explains what PostForge collects, why, and what you can do about it. We try to collect only what the Service needs to work.

What we collect

The LinkedIn profile URL you give us	To read your recent public posts and learn your writing voice.
Public LinkedIn post and profile data	Fetched through a third-party data provider to build your voice fingerprint and suggest ideas. We store a distilled summary, not a scrape of LinkedIn.
Content you create	Drafts, scheduled posts, and settings, so you can come back to them.
A LinkedIn session credential (only if you enable publishing)	Stored to publish on your instruction. Provided by you, used only for that purpose, and removable at any time.
Basic usage and billing data	To enforce plan limits and process payments.

How we use it

• To operate the Service: generate drafts in your voice, save your work, and publish when you tell us to.
• To enforce plan limits and process payments.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
• To contact you about your account or important changes.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your content to train models for other customers.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with service providers who help us run PostForge:

• An AI text provider to generate and rewrite posts.
• A LinkedIn data provider to fetch your public posts and profile.
• A payment processor to handle subscriptions (we never store full card numbers).
• Hosting infrastructure that runs the Service.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service and its users.

Your LinkedIn session credential

If you enable publishing, you may provide a LinkedIn session credential so PostForge can post on your behalf. This is sensitive. We store it only to perform the publishing you request, you can disconnect it at any time from your settings, and disconnecting deletes it. PostForge is not affiliated with LinkedIn, and you are responsible for your use of these features under LinkedIn's terms.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your content or your whole account at any time; when you delete your account we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep records to meet legal or billing obligations. You can request an export of your content before deleting.

Security

Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted in transit, and access to production data is limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Cookies

We use a small amount of local storage in your browser to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise them, email us and we will respond.
